criticizing carbohydrates and evils that destroy beauty,
i am carrying her lovely last meal
in front of me on the stairs
like it is a bag of malodorous trash or
a long while dead rotten chihuahua,
by just the two fingertips.
she was going to put a picture of her heart
in a picture frame,
but someone else did it first.
the sounds of bags bursting,
rap music, skin opening like a waterballoon,
midnight lungs painfully relieving themselves,
the crunching of chips, the crunching of chips,
the crunching of chips.

my room says: i do not enjoy seeing the real world;
i do not enjoy seeing the real world.
the clouds are cotton candy if i want.
the moon has turned green.
there are holographic reflections in geometrically broken mirrors.
get stoned and binge-eat yourself into lights-still-on sleep,
carry two liters of rum in a backpack.
i wonder why some people eat pizza crust first,
the last bit small, cold cheese.
i write myself a poem: this is why you are sick;
this is why you are dying; this is why you are dead.
you are a bloodhound on fresh dead flesh.
you are sorry about what you did to the moon, so sorry.
you are a mangled grey octopus at the bottom of the water,
angels laughing at you.
